Kyriba is hiring an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a Europe-based Accounting team that encompasses multiple countries and accounting functions. As a leader within the Global Accounting Organization, this position delivers high-quality service to stakeholders by championing process improvements and providing hands-on support to the team. The position will work closely with Corporate Headquarters based in the United States and local accounting teams across the EMEA and APAC regions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• This role will evolve over time to take on more responsibility and will initially have to manage direct reports responsible for local statutory Financial Statements, Audits, Tax, and Payroll compliance as well as the Global Shared Services Accounts Payable department
• Maintain a compliance calendar and ensure key deliverables are completed timely. Report on issues, resolutions, and recommendations to improve processes.
• Lead a collaborative team environment where all team members will “roll up their sleeves” to ensure quality work is performed timely. Control/review deliverables and explain the Financial Statements to the EMEA/APAC Controller and/or Corporate.
• Ensure processes are sustainable considering foreseeable changes in the business
• Manage local payroll, tax and other forms of accounting compliance for local entities as assigned, i.e Poland, Germany, APAC entities
• Report and analyze metrics pertinent to Accounts Payable and Month-End Close Performance in order to identify progress and opportunities for better efficiency or accuracy
• Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the Global Shared Services department and stakeholders.
• Review or complete account reconciliations, journal entries and SOX internal controls
• Control/review US GAAP to Local Statutory Financial Statement adjustments
• Manage Statutory Audit engagements and related results
• Control/review intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with Transfer Price agreements
• Ensure process narratives, desktop procedures and backup / disaster recovery plans are up to date
• Develop, assess, and hire team members in accordance with career development plans and key objectives
• Manage complex transactions as needed
• Work cross-functionally and in an international environment to deliver high-quality service as a global team.

Education, Experience And Skills

• Master’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or related is required.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years of experience in a financial leadership position
• Prior experience and knowledge of Statutory Reporting, Tax and Payroll for Poland a minimum, Germany and/or other EU countries a plus
• Hands-on approach to the role in a fast evolving environment is necessary
• Building up relationships with local and remote stakeholders across functions will be critical to long term success
• Comfortable and willing to work with East Coast Time zone as needed
• Must be fluent in Polish, English. German is a plus.
