This position reports to - Procurement BP & Lead Buyer Germany & CE

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

The work model for the role is: hybrid.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation, IA Procurement & Logistic in Krakow.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
• Designing and implementing effective plans and strategies for local sourcing of products and materials to achieve business targets.
• Managing day-to-day cooperation with a portfolio of international approved suppliers, ensuring the needs of both internal and external customers are met. You will implement the Procurement Strategy in collaboration with the Sourcing team.
• Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure accurate invoice processing.
• Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements, focusing on content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price.
• Conducting all procurement activities for goods and services in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled in working with SAP/Ariba and the purchasing or finance market. 
• You have established skills and experience in a shared services environment. 
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of advanced Excel skills. 
• You are passionate about proactive working, flexibility, and teamwork. 
• Degree in a relevant field or proven experience in purchasing or finance. 
• You are at ease communicating in German (B2+) and English (B2).
