What are we looking for?

Process Specific:

  • Discuss, agree and document Capacity Management monitoring thresholds with technical experts.
  • Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the Capacity Management Information System (CMIS).
  • Review capacity and utilization of IT infrastructure and services.
  • Investigate capacity/performance-related problems.
  • Review Forward Schedule of Change, attend Change Advisory Board meetings and work with technical experts to assess changes for their impact on capacity and performance.
  • Produce and review Capacity Management proposals for potential new customers.
  • Assist Technical Experts in Service Modeling activities.
  • Consolidate service capacity models into capacity plan.
  • Produce IT service component requirement forecasts  trending of component utilization to forecast growth.
  • Attend regular meetings with the customer to establish future business demand.
  •  Produce and maintain the Customer IT Capacity Plan(s).
  • Review of the regular Capacity Management reports.
  • Accountable to support the factory to ensure that IT service capacity processes and tools are in place to deliver capacity that is matched to current and future business demand.
  • Contributes to the design, structure and content of the CMIS. 
  • Responsible for ensuring that the capacity and current utilization of IT infrastructure and services is understood and documented by the factory/service owner and assist them in ensuring they are operating at optimal levels.
  • Responsible for ensuring that appropriate monitoring and threshold levels are in place and if not, are implemented by the appropriate teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring that interfaces and controls exist for processes that interact with Capacity Management: e.g. Availability, Change, Service Level.
  • Responsible for ensuring that IT Capacity Plans are produced and maintained in alignment with the budgetary cycle of Atos and its customers.
  • Responsible for production and participation in Customer presentation of regular Capacity Management reports.
  • Contributes to the selection, design, implementation and improvement of the  Capacity Management toolset to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process.
  • Liaison with the Factory to ensure Capacity Plans get created on time.
  •  Ensure that capacity reports (e.g. utilization, trending, etc.) are delivered.
  • Coordination with suppliers, contractors, 3rd parties, etc. to ensure the correct capacity is delivered at the right time at the right cost. May participate in underpinning contract negotiations.
  • Conduct Post Resolution Review of corrective actions associated with capacity problems.
  • Ensure that Capacity Management KPIs are reported and their targets met.
  • Take escalations from PSM and handle them accordingly

Key skills

The Capacity Manager has the following key-skills :

  • Builds long-term relationships with internal colleagues. 
  • Broadly skilled in information and communications technology.
  • Excellent English and German communication skills (written and oral), with experience interacting with all levels of management both within Company and Customer organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and take decisions where necessary.
  • Successful delivery against commitments and deadlines.
  • Promotes and supports standardization and continuous improvement.

Experience/Knowledge Essential:

  • Detailed knowledge of the theory and operation aspects of their process.
  • ITIL Operational experience in the Capacity Management process.l.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.
  • Relevant industry knowledge and technical Skills.
