Job Description

This role will support FREE NOW business primarily in France with a high possibility of supporting further teams in Europe.

The main focus of the role will be to continue leading the people related migration of the former Kapten entity into the FREE NOW world. The job holder will be aligning business goals with employees and management, which will include driving HR programs (performance management reviews, engagement, talent planning, etc.), assessing and communicating business needs to develop integrated people solutions, as well as acting as an employee advocate and an advocate for change.

This position is expected to deliver a broad range of HR support, supporting the long-term strategic business plans to the day-to-day transactions for recruitment, promotions, and other related HRIS (Workday) activities. The role will also be the primary contact with the CSE (social economic committee). 

Your responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for business leaders & management on core people topics
  • Lead all people-related activities to ensure a smooth migration process
  • Be an innovative and creative thinker that comes up with out of box initiatives 
  • Co-create and own your business unit’s people strategy and the implementation of its components together with people specialist teams (People Development, C&B etc)
  • Support the development of data-driven people plans and execute strategies directly aligned to business objectives
  • Bring consistency in people processes across all departments and locations in partnership with business stakeholders and peers in specialist teams
  • Drive people development particularly in management and leadership teams throughout the business, support the growth of fantastic leaders and coach them enabling them to grow exceptional teams and develop talent for the future  
  • Able to support & advise management on employment law in French and ideally European jurisdictions
  • Managing the Social Economic Committee: elections, meetings, negotiations, with direct report to the HQ in Germany
  • Administering and creating documents related to the employee life cycle including but not limited to contracts, amendments, and exit documents
  • Handing over relevant information to the payroll team

Your skills

For the perfect fit, you have gained a minimum of 8 years of experience in HR roles in addition to:

  • Strong experience working in French employment markets including experience in implementing redundancy plans and company migrations
  • Familiar with processes in other European countries with prior experience of working in an Above-Country Level (i.e. International, Global, Regional, Cluster) clearly demonstrated on your profile.
  • Experience supporting integration projects, bringing together different teams & cultures
  • Generalist knowledge of running annual people processes; performance, talent, reward & headcount planning partnering with specialist HR teams
  • Strong knowledge of French employment laws and experience working with French works councils. Optional is to have knowledge of European laws in general. 
  • Sound experience in org development with specific examples of supporting management team in building new departments or scaling existing teams
  • Highly collaborative, able to effectively engage and support specialist teams fully leveraging their capabilities and enabling them to be successful
  • Data-driven approach in understanding business needs and translating them into requirements for new tools
  • Professional attitude, fun-loving and enjoys working with a diverse group of people
  • Being a certified business coach is plus
  • Full business fluency in French & English. Spanish knowledge is a plus
