Responsibilities

As an Executive Specialist for Product Safety, you are part of our team in the unit Product Safety Services for EMEA which ensures, that sales & marketing of our chemical products comply with BASF requirements.

• Your expertise is on demand- As a Point of Contact for all questions in the area of product safety, you provide information to our customers and support the local sales team.
• Apart from that, you give advice on regulatory topics such as sensitive applications and REACH.
• You notify products to national inventories like nanomaterials and manage information related to safety data sheets.
• As part of the emergency response team, you prepare professional training material and organize related training.
• As responsibilities within the corresponding positions may be adjusted due to change in legislation you have to interact with a high level of flexibility and collaboration within your team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• degree in Chemistry or several years of professional experience within the chemistry area as well as first practical experience in product safety and regulatory affairs
• profound user knowledge in MS Office and (SAP) databases
• fluent communication skills in French and English, German skills are a plus
• ability to work in a team as well as a strong customer-orientation
• strong analytical skills as well as a very good organizational ability paired with independent working methods
• willingness to travel
