The Opportunity:

As a Business Unit Team Leader, you are responsible for leading and coaching a team of Business Development Representatives to help them achieve their targets. This is a player/coach role and as such you need to manage your time accordingly.

Coach role:

  • Supports team manager in their respective business unit and performs management duties when manager is absent or out of office.
  • Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training/onboarding.
  • Manages the allocation of inbound activity and assigns to the correct team member in a timely manner and advising management on updates on marketing activities.
  • Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and process compliance.
  • Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
  • Communicates deadlines and sales goals to team members.
  • Keeps a log of all coaching and objective setting to represent to management team.
  • Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals and represents to management for alignment.
  • Conducts industry huddles to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.
  • Generates and shares reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other industry leaders and sales enablement so coaching and best practice sessions are not duplicated to ensure efficient management of the entire team.
  • Ensure team members have the tools and IT resource to do their role effectively

BD (Business Development) Role:

  • Consistently deliver qualified opportunities to support Sidetrade revenue targets
  • Build the perfect pipeline; maintain a high volume of productive daily activities (e.g. outbound calls, emails, social selling) to build a strong, sustained pipeline
  • Delivering a compelling value proposition to decision makers and influencers based on your understanding of Sidetrade solutions
  • Diligently record all customer exchanges in Salesforce
  • Achievement of individual target and management of your schedule to support that.
  • Liaise with the Business Unit AVP for pipe review.
  • Liaise with MKT for specific campaigns.
  • Controls the Zoom requests and works with the manager to ensure adequate data is exported into salesforce.

Key skills & Requirements:

  • Fluent in French and English
  • 3 years SAAS experience in an outbound B2B BDR Role (achieving target); or
  • 1 year+ experience in a Team Leader role in an outbound team
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to be able to interact credibly at all levels of an organization
  • Proficiency in salesforce, sales navigator and Microsoft office are a distinct advantage
